Getting Here
Glacier Park International Airport, FCA
50 minutes
The closest airport to Whitefish, about 20 minutes to downtown Whitefish and 50 minutes to the venue. We recommend flying into FCA if possible. The airport is in Kalispell, next to Whitefish.
Missoula Montana Airport, MSO3 hours
Flying into Missoula is another option. Sometimes there can be cheaper rental car options here and the drive up to Whitefish along the Mission Mountains and Flathead Lake is beautiful.
Driving from Portland9.5 hours
It’s a fairly easy drive from Portland, and becomes quite scenic as you enter the mountains. If you’re looking to split up the drive, stop in Wallace, ID for the night and listen to the audiobook “The Big Burn” for some history of the area.
Both Glacier and Missoula airports are small and flights are often delayed. If possible, we recommend getting in a little earlier and exploring the area.
Transportation
Shuttle
There will be a shuttle between downtown Whitefish and the venue for the day of the wedding (more details to follow).
Please keep in mind that there are Lyfts and Ubers around the airport and in Whitefish, but you won’t be able to get one to and from the venue.
Car Rentals
If you’re planning on exploring the area around Whitefish, or Glacier National Park, we highly recommend having a vehicle. Public transportation is very limited.
While mid-September is a bit past peak season, Glacier is a popular destination. It’s best to book rental cars early, and try to coordinate driving with friends and family. There won’t be much need for a car once you’re at the venue.
